Tony came to collect a van and he was absolutely brilliant. He was polite,
friendly and super efficient. Everything went very smoothly and I would
    highly recommend ScrapMyCar.Co.Uk

    really highly recommended local service!

  • SANDRA FROM ASHFORD

Good Morning,   I am writing to express my appreciation at the recent
collection of the above car from my home address.   The procedure was
extremely professional, when I called the office number and spoke to the
lady she was very helpful and explained everything clearly before arranging
a convenient time for the car to be collected. The driver rang me when he
was 45 minutes away and when I arrived at home he was already there waiting
for me. The driver was friendly and courteous and the whole transaction was
finalised within 5 minutes.  I felt it important to let you know of my
complete satisfaction from start to finish with the disposal of my car.
Your staff should be commended on their efficiency. I will certainly
recommend yourselves to friends/family should they need this type of
    service. Thank you once again.

People also ask...

Is my online quotation guaranteed?

As long as the car is complete (with engine, gearbox, body panels, catalyst, battery and all the wheels) the price we offer is guaranteed for 48hrs and there are no deductions or administration charges whatsoever. Note that the car should be free from any waste and accessible.

How long does it take to collect my car?

Once you agree the price we will contact you within 30 minutes in working hours (we call and arrange a time/day for collection, typically this will be within 48 working hours). The actual collection time takes fifteen minutes; that's to load your car onto the recovery vehicle but it may take longer depending on the location of your car and how difficult it is to remove.

What do I need to provide at the time of collection?

To make the process quick have the registration document (V5C), a photo I.D, a recent utility bill, the car key, and locking wheel nut key if your car has alloy wheels, and any other paperwork you may have for the car would be useful.

What to do I do with my car insurance?

You can cancel your car insurance as soon as the car has been collected. If you cancel your insurance before the car is collected, then it is illegal for you to use it on the public highway.

How do your online quotes work?

We use our own bespoke quotation system to provide you with the best and fastest scrap price for your car. We're not an aggregator that hands your data to someone else, and it is us that will collect your car.

About Wokingham Berkshire

Wokingham, Berkshire, England, 37 miles (60 km) west of London, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Reading, 8 miles (13 km) north of Camberley and 4 miles (6 km) west of Bracknell. The town is a constituent part of the Reading/Wokingham Urban Area.
The average journey time between Wokingham and London Waterloo is 1 hour 16 minutes . On an average weekday, there are 49 trains travelling from Wokingham to London Waterloo.
Wokingham means 'Wocca's people's home', Wocca was apparently a Saxon chieftain who may also have owned lands at Wokefield in Berkshire and Woking in Surrey. In Victorian times, the name became corrupted to Oakingham, and consequently the acorn with oak leaves is the town's heraldic charge, granted in the 19th century. The courts of Windsor Forest were held at Wokingham and the town had the right to hold a market from 1219. Queen Elizabeth granted a town charter in 1583. From the 14th to the 16th centuries, Wokingham was well known for its bell foundry which supplied many churches across the South of England. In 1723, the 'Black Act' was passed in Parliament to make it an offence to black one's face to commit criminal acts. It was named after an infamous band of ruffians, known as the 'Wokingham Blacks', who terrorised the local area until 29 of them were arrested after fighting a pitched battle with Grenadier Guards in Bracknell.
