  • IAN FROM ALDERSHOT

Would just like to say, “thanks”, for the efficient way you dealt with
    the scrapping of my van.
At this present time it’s a pleasure to find a company that answers the
phone quickly, does what it says it will do and pay promptly.

  • ANTHONY FROM ALDERSHOT

Excellent service. Website made it easy to register the car with them,
follow up phone call came quickly after the start of their working week,
non-runner car collected promptly, and certificate of destruction reached
me the next day. They also paid twice what another site offered. Dealing
with them was so simple, but not Schofield.

  • DANIEL FROM NEW MALDEN

Hello, my car was collected yesterday and payment received today, thank
    you.
We were sad to see our much loved Honda go after 18 years’ service (from
new!) but its time had come. Your driver was first class – prompt, on
time, professional and very helpful in explaining everything that was
    required.

Is my online quotation guaranteed?

As long as the car is complete (with engine, gearbox, body panels, catalyst, battery and all the wheels) the price we offer is guaranteed for 48hrs and there are no deductions or administration charges whatsoever. Note that the car should be free from any waste and accessible.

How long does it take to collect my car?

Once you agree the price we will contact you within 30 minutes in working hours (we call and arrange a time/day for collection, typically this will be within 48 working hours). The actual collection time takes fifteen minutes; that's to load your car onto the recovery vehicle but it may take longer depending on the location of your car and how difficult it is to remove.

What do I need to provide at the time of collection?

To make the process quick have the registration document (V5C), a photo I.D, a recent utility bill, the car key, and locking wheel nut key if your car has alloy wheels, and any other paperwork you may have for the car would be useful.

What to do I do with my car insurance?

You can cancel your car insurance as soon as the car has been collected. If you cancel your insurance before the car is collected, then it is illegal for you to use it on the public highway.

How do your online quotes work?

We use our own bespoke quotation system to provide you with the best and fastest scrap price for your car. We're not an aggregator that hands your data to someone else, and it is us that will collect your car.

About Woodley Berkshire

Woodley, two miles (3.2 km) to the west, and five miles (8 km) from Wokingham. Nearby are the villages of Sonning, Twyford, Winnersh, Hurst and Charvil.
Nearest station is Reading, so bus then train to London. The average journey time between Woodley and London is 56 min
includes 3 min transfer.
The toponym Woodley is derived from Old English words meaning a clearing in the wood. Anciently, Woodley was part of the ecclesiastical parish of Sonning. Until the 1930s Woodley was a village of little significance. In that decade, Woodley Aerodrome was opened in a 100-acre field belonging to Sandford Farm. In 1932 F.G. Miles came to Woodley and joined with Philips and Powis in the production of the Miles Hawk aeroplane, leading to the formation of Miles Aircraft Ltd which continued producing aircraft in Woodley until after the Second World War. In the years before the war numerous aviators visited Woodley, including Charles Lindbergh and Amy Johnson; Douglas Bader lost his legs in a flying accident on the airfield in 1931. Just under 6,000 civil and military aircraft were built and first flown here from 1933 to 1962. Thereafter the airfield was closed together with its last aircraft factory and a new town centre was created replacing old village shops.
